Child Play Therapy
A child-centered therapeutic approach that uses play as the language of healing.
Play therapy is a form of counseling specifically designed for children, typically ages 3–12. Children naturally express themselves through play — it is their primary language for communicating feelings, working through fears, and making sense of the world around them. Play therapy creates a safe, supportive environment where children can explore their emotions and experiences at their own pace.
At New Horizons Counseling Center, our therapists use play therapy to help children address a wide range of challenges, from behavioral difficulties and anxiety to trauma, family transitions, and social struggles. Parents are kept informed and involved throughout the process.
